Tezos Takeover at South Beach
Tezos Takeover at South Beach
We’re Coming Miami: Tezos Art Community's Vivid Takeover at South Beach during Art Basel
This December, South Beach is not just Miami's playground; it's turning into an electrifying digital art fiesta, courtesy of the Tezos Art Community. Think Art Basel with a twist of Tezos zest, splashing vibrant colors and futuristic vibes all over Miami’s iconic sandy shores.
Riding the Waves of Innovation
Since its dazzling debut in 2021, Tezos has been surfing the high tide of the art world. Valérie Whitacre of Trilitech says, "from pioneering digital showcases to blending Crypto Art with contemporary mojo, we're riding the wave of artistic ambition”. This year, they're dialing up the Miami heat with Refraction and others, ready to rock the art scene like a hurricane.
Where Digital Meets the Miami Sun
The Nautilus Hotel, from December 6th, transforms into a digital art paradise. Picture this: over 50 pieces, from groovy historical works to snazzy contemporary editions, all minted on Tezos, shimmering under Miami’s sun. And hey, it's not just eye candy – part of the dough goes to the Trevor Project, because heart matters.
The lineup? Oh, it’s like the Art Avengers - Casey Reas, Anna Lucia, and more, bridging the gap between the ethereal digital realm and Miami's tangy physical world with prints, sculptures, and all that jazz.
Tezos Art Walk: Miami's Ultimate AR Treasure Hunt
Strap in for the Tezos Art Walk, an AR scavenger hunt that’s as Miami as palm trees and rollerblades. With Eyejack’s magic, the hunt lets you snag AR masterpieces by hotshots like Iskra Velitchkova and Zach Lieberman. Imagine chasing digital treasures down Ocean Drive, with a side of Cuban coffee and an ocean breeze!
And get this – you don’t need a crypto wallet, just your Twitter handle. Collect those AR gems and you could win tez. It's like Pokémon Go, but with cooler prizes and a splash of Miami flair.
Nighttime Chats and Beats: Miami's Art Soiree
As the sun sets, the beat drops. Panels with big brains like HUObrist from Serpentine and performances from cool cats like Danny Daze light up the night. It's a mix of brainy talks and beachy tunes, all under Miami’s starry sky.
Art Meets Miami’s Salsa: A Cultural Cocktail
This ain't just an exhibition; it's Miami’s art party of the year. It's where blockchain meets salsa, where digital art does the cha-cha with Miami's soul. This event is a testament to how art can boogie with the city’s own rhythm, making every street corner a dance floor.
Miami, the New Digital Art Capital
As Tezos takes over South Beach, they’re not just showcasing art; they're throwing a digital art carnival, Miami style. It's a fusion of creativity, community, and neon-lit innovation. In this narrative, art doesn’t just imitate life; it throws a beach party with it, complete with digital fireworks and a side of Cuban sandwiches.

Baking Bad has announced the release of DipDup 7.2, a significant update bringing new features and enhancements to its framework. This release is particularly notable for its compatibility with Etherlink smart rollups and the introduction of an API for runtime index management.
Key Updates in DipDup 7.2:
Etherlink Smart Rollup Compatibility: The update includes support for indexing Tezos Etherlink smart rollups, an EVM-compatible smart rollup focusing on transaction fairness, low latency, and security. These smart rollups are part of Tezos' Layer 2 scaling solutions and are versatile in terms of the programming languages used.
Index Management API: DipDup 7.2 introduces an API that allows users to add indexes in runtime. This can be done using basic HTTP API commands, making it more accessible and user-friendly.
Enhanced Configuration and Templates: The update enables users to index Etherlink smart rollups like regular Tezos contracts. It includes a demo_etherlink template for new projects, along with improved configuration options.
Additional Improvements: The release brings back the Makefile to the base template following community feedback, with a package manager-agnostic approach. It also includes faster indexing of EVM events and an improved generation of Pydantic typeclasses.
Baking Bad's DipDup 7.2 represents a stride forward in Tezos development tools, offering enhanced functionalities for developers, particularly those working with Tezos Etherlink smart rollups. With its user-friendly API and support for Etherlink, DipDup 7.2 is set to streamline the development process and expand the capabilities of decentralized applications.
