The Baking Sheet - Issue #52

The Tezos Ecosystem had some 'HUGE' announcements this week

Welcome to this week’s issue of The Baking Sheet!

The digital renaissance is upon us. Proposed protocol upgrade Granada is currently undergoing voting, DeFi is beginning to heat up within the Tezos ecosystem following Plenty’s success, and NFT adoption is continuing to grow organically.

Tezos Ecosystem Insights: Network Growth

Fundamental analysis refers to the concept of what factors derive a particular asset’s value. In other words, where it’s overall value comes from.

What should be a simple concept gets often conflated in our rapidly changing and evolving world where attention is quickly fleeting. Thus, our image towards recognizing where areas of growth should be adjusted by markets gets skewed with other “latest and greatest” news and things.

However, when we combine fundamentals with a more materialistic factor, utility - that’s where things begin to get interesting.

Utility is defined as: “the state of being useful, profitable, or beneficial”.

We’re beginning to see both these attributes converge together within the Tezos ecosystem

Transaction count eclipsed to new ATH levels over the past few days, achieving on Wednesday over 280k total transactions taken place over a 24-hour period. This number represented 23% of all Ethereum daily transactions. Combine this with contract calls which have also already reached roughly half of last month's total count, things are beginning to get interesting.

We’re seeing the combination of lots of hard work put towards on-chain governance and tooling with the ability now to truly begin to bring about increased utility towards the Tezos network. Wildly successful NFT platforms like H=N, Plenty DeFi, and others existing and to come are painting a different image by the day.

What remains worth witnessing is how you can contribute to the growing digital renaissance.
