The Baking Sheet - Issue #87

DOGA DOGA! 🦴

Welcome to this week’s issue of The Baking Sheet!

It’s been another busy week within the Tezos ecosystem with quorum for Ithaca 2 reached, TF grant changes expected soon, Bittrex and Webull listing tez on their platforms, and more!

For this week’s issue, let’s dive into where all eyes are eagerly on - Dogami.

Tezos Ecosystem Insights: The Petaverse

If you’ve been paying attention lately, a Dogami whitelist spot has become an equivalent to a winning lottery ticket. Everyone wants their hands on them.

It’s quite fascinating to see the level of organic attention and traction the Dogami team has been able to drum up from the ground floor.

Even more exciting as Alex Richetin mentioned on our recent TezTalks live stream, $0 in marketing expenses have been made to promote the project.

That said, I wrote about Dogami recently in our medium publication. Bilal El Alamy of Dogami also shared a few words in the post, so if you haven’t checked it out - be sure to give it a read!

One of the things that fascinates me the most about Dogami is what they’re trying to build and accomplish. If you look at most NFT projects, you’ll likely be sold on an over-hyped mint with little to no roadmap items for how those NFTs can be utilized.

Dogami is a far cry from the former. With a fluid roadmap and even a whitepaper, it’s clear the Dogami team isn’t just bent on having a successful NFT drop. It would be logical to assume their backers such as Ubisoft and The Sandbox aren’t either.

This is one of the first large scale NFT drops ever to take place on Tezos and it will be very exciting to see how it all unfolds.

As we enter the next frontier for the internet, its certain that the previous structures placed on today’s model are being eaten away by the rise of digitization. In the new frontier, an internet owned by the builders and users, orchestrated by tokens — NFTs, the metaverse, and DAOs reign supreme.

Ambitious projects like Dogami are trailblazing this new frontier through NFT and gaming applications on Tezos. For Tezos, which has been receiving lots of organic momentum month by month by heaps of artists and creators minting works across several NFT marketplaces, there’s never been a better time to explore and join the movement.

Be sure to not miss the upcoming Dogami mint on February 22nd!
