The Baking Sheet - Issue #259

Introducing REJKT: a new way to discover art on Tezos.

The countdown to TezDev is officially on, just a few weeks to go until the Tezos community touches down in Cannes for the biggest ecosystem gathering of the year. But before we get there, we’re turning the spotlight to a new tool built by and for the Tezos art community: REJKT, a beautifully executed platform that’s quietly transforming how collectors discover art.

Let’s dive into what’s stirring across the ecosystem in this week’s edition of The Baking Sheet.

A New Lens for Art Discovery — REJKT.xyz Is Live

With thousands of works minted daily across multiple marketplaces, Tezos-based collectors have long relied on platforms like Objkt.com for discovery. But for those looking to cut through the noise and find fresh, meaningful work that aligns with their personal taste, one new platform is standing out.

Enter REJKT, a community-built art discovery tool created by FAFO Lab, designed not to replace marketplaces but to enhance how we experience them.

Here’s what makes REJKT special:

  • Not a marketplace – REJKT isn’t for minting or trading. It sits alongside Objkt, TEIA, and others, offering a cleaner, personalized interface for discovery.

  • Live on-chain curation – The platform actively scans the chain for fresh mints from active artists, focusing solely on primary listings.

  • No distractions – REJKT’s feed puts the art first: no price tags, no editions, no noise. Just the work, front and center.

  • Advanced filters – For those who want to refine their browsing, REJKT offers toggles to dial in discovery based on media, themes, and artist activity.

  • A community touch – The experience is elevated by thoughtful UX, a charming hamster mascot named Reggie, and direct lines for feedback and bug reports.

“REJKT is a beginning. It’s an invitation to the Tezos community to meet FAFO and be part of our dream of making Tezos a better place to publish, discover, and consume art.” – Transparent Art, co-founder

From desktop to mobile, REJKT makes a strong first impression that’s streamlined, elegant, and built with care. It gives collectors the ability to go beyond trend-based browsing and reconnect with the spark of finding something unexpected.

Built for experienced Tezos art collectors and first time users, REJKT is your new companion in discovery. Check it out at rejkt.xyz, and read the full article on Spotlight.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem

Introducing 5x5: Artists Curating Artists

As mentioned in the opening of this newsletter, TezDev 2025 in Cannes is drawing closer, one of the standout events is taking shape: 5x5: Artists Curating Artists, a multi-dimensional digital art series that explores creation, curation, and the natural elements through the lens of the Tezos art community.

First debuted on objkt.com by Cyberforms, the concept invites five leading digital artists to embody the dual role of creator and curator. Each artist selects a theme based on one of the five classical elements: earth, metal, fire, water, air, and curates a group show featuring five artists whose work reflects that energy.

Here’s the lineup:

  • Earth – Curated by Chris Coleman
Featuring: acrwrs, stusontier, MrPrudence, Rujunko Pugh, whoissubnet

  • Metal – Curated by 5tr4n0
Featuring: Su Ceren, sabatobox, 0x3y3, brolket, michaelmicasso

  • Fire – Curated by Ganbrood
Featuring: Jvde AI, celad00r, Rrose Selavy, motiondesign_01, Noortje Storteld

  • Water – Curated by dontbuy
Featuring: Ilya Bliznets, Hannah Polza, desolatronica, zhura ya, MCHX17

  • Air – Curated by OriginalGoldCat
Featuring: Searchsignal, RJ, lilyillo, Morpho Genesis, Diane Lindo

The full series will culminate in a one-of-a-kind immersive IRL experience at TezDev 2025 on July 3, bringing each element to life in a physical environment. Attendees can expect to be fully immersed in these curated digital experiences in 360°, offering a unique look at the diversity and depth of Tezos-based art.

InfiniteInk Launches Artist Invites

The common trend this week is arta and this week InfiniteInk is expanding but with intention. This week, the platform introduced its Artist Invites program, a sustainable onboarding model designed to grow the creator ecosystem while keeping quality and curation at the core.

Here’s how it works:

  • Each Genesis artist on InfiniteInk has received one invite to bring a new creator onto the platform.

  • Invited artists can mint and sell on their own smart contracts and, after selling 3 editions across 3 releases to 3 unique collectors, earn an invite of their own.

  • The cycle continues from artist to artist, invite to invite and ensuring that every new onboarded creator comes with a personal recommendation.

In parallel, InfiniteInk has started whitelisting creators from its waitlist. Emails with access codes are going out weekly, so artists who previously signed up should keep a close watch on their inboxes.

This invite-first model echoes the platform’s community-driven ethos, emphasizing both trust and artistry. To learn more or join the waitlist, visit infiniteink.art.

Tezos at NFC Lisbon: A Constellation of Artistic Presence

At last week’s Non-Fungible Conference in Lisbon, Art on Tezos wasn’t framed by a single booth or headline exhibition but instead unfolded across a decentralized constellation of installations, screenings, and informal gatherings. Nina Knaack captured the mosaic in her thoughtful recap for Electric Chronicles, highlighting how Tezos-based artists activated multiple layers of the event space with creativity, critique, and collaboration.

Here are some highlights:

Echoes of Light by XCOLLABZ
Housed in a transformed shipping container, this immersive installation projected works by 25 artists across a tight, ambient corridor. The format—no frames, no objects, just light—challenged the viewer to experience art as a sensory field, not a set of discrete pieces. The mural façades by OMGiDRAWEDit and Sutu extended the exhibition into public space with AR-enhanced psychedelia and satire.

Sum by Víctor Doval
Presented on the main stage, Sum is a generative collaboration developed over three years with contributions from 28 artists. Rather than offering narrative or resolution, it looped through visual cycles—mutating, drifting, and resisting traditional exhibition logic. It was a meditation on authorship and emergence, set to launch on objkt.one later this month.

NFTs Are Not Dead by Grida
A raucous group collage featuring 30 artists, this Infinite Ink open edition poked fun at the death knell often sounded for NFTs. It’s aesthetic—chaotic, referential, meme-savvy—pushed back against polished minimalism and isolated value, reminding audiences of NFTs’ roots in digital counterculture.

Peripheral Highlights

  • V. Ruins’ Dark Tales booth invited interaction through a detective narrative format powered by the fictional character Cormac Delaney.

  • La Poste returned with its digital stamps, powered by Tezos—pointing quietly to institutional applications.

  • BrunchByFidel, co-sponsored by Objkt, offered a physical space for community connection outside the structured programming.

A Decentralized Showcase
Rather than asserting dominance, the Tezos ecosystem offered something more nuanced—diversity. It wasn’t about a singular narrative but a chorus of approaches, ranging from immersive to introspective. Collectively, these works affirmed what the Tezos art community is often praised for: experimentation, openness, and community-driven creativity.
