Let’s dive in.

The countdown is on. The Etherlink “Summer of Code” kicks off on July 9 and runs through August 3, inviting developers, creatives, and tinkerers to build ambitious projects on Tezos’ EVM-compatible rollup. With over £30,000 in prizes, this virtual global event is open to all, and promises four weeks of building, collaborating, and shipping what no one saw coming.

Built on Tezos, Etherlink gives you speed without compromising on decentralization. Transactions confirmed in under 500 milliseconds, and finality is reached in around 16 seconds. It’s non-custodial by design, meaning there’s no single entity in control, and anyone can participate in network security or post commitments. Fees are extremely low, just fractions of a cent, and all this operates under the robust security inherited from Tezos Layer 1. Add to that an open governance model where stakeholders shape the future of the network, and you have an infrastructure that’s fast, fair, and built to last.

TezDev 2025 First Keynotes Unveiled

With TezDev just weeks away, the first keynote announcements are coming out.

Arthur Breitman, co-founder of Tezos, will take the stage to reflect on the protocol’s evolution, from recent breakthroughs to current priorities, and outline what’s next on the road to Tezos X.

Also announced: Ole Krüger, engineer and tech lead at Trilitech, will dive into one of the most talked-about topics in computing today, RISC-V. His keynote will go beyond the buzz to explore what RISC-V really offers, where the technical hurdles lie, and how developers in the Tezos ecosystem can start taking advantage of it.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem

Tezos at ArtMeta’s Museums & Digital Art Day

June 18 marked a full day of conversations on the future of digital art institutions, and Tezos was right at the center of it. Hosted by ArtMeta and supported by the Tezos Foundation, the Museums & Digital Art Day Conference brought together museum professionals, curators, artists, and collectors to reflect on how institutions are adapting to digital creativity.

Panels throughout the day touched on evolving collecting practices, the rise of decentralized curation, and the unique opportunities presented by digital-first museums. From Auriea Harvey’s insights on hybrid creation to discussions led by representatives from the Whitney, Centre Pompidou, and the V&A, the conference showcased just how wide-ranging the Tezos art conversation has become.

The event featured:

  • Opening remarks from Diane Drubay (We Are Museums) and Alice Japhet (Trilitech)

  • A panel on “Collecting in Transition” with voices from the Toledo Museum, HEK Basel, and Auriea

  • “Museums Without Walls”, exploring new curatorial approaches across physical and virtual spaces

  • A conversation on founding digital art museums, featuring ONKAOS, Museum of Art & Light, and others

  • “Poetic Arrangements” and reflections on what defines the canon in digital art today, with input from artists and curators at major international institutions

It was a strong showing for Tezos in a room full of cultural decision-makers and further proof that the ecosystem’s influence in the digital art world continues to grow.

Meet the Newest Tezos Trailblazers

A new batch of Tezos Trailblazers has been introduced, and this group brings a great mix of creative energy and community dedication. These are the people helping grow the ecosystem from the ground up, each in their own way.

  • Red Alark is a singer-songwriter, digital artist, and animator whose bold, glitchy work fuses traditional storytelling with AI. She’s also an active host of community conversations and someone who’s always pushing the creative edge.

  • LMDesigns8 builds immersive XR experiences that feel both experimental and deeply thoughtful. With a strong focus on interactivity and expression, her work brings people into new kinds of digital spaces.

  • Rald Blox is an engineer and founder of OnchainVision Labs. He’s also a Fortify Labs and TZ APAC alum, working on tools that help more people build and launch in the Tezos ecosystem.

Each of these Trailblazers brings something unique and together, they’re shaping how Tezos continues to grow, not just through projects, but through community and shared vision.
